It’s a reference to the Greek Myth. Talos was a giant bronze man created by the Greek God of Invention & Blacksmithing (Hephaestus) to protect the island of Crete. Many regard Talos as our first depiction of artificial life (AI).
The story goes that Hephaestus filled Talos with a green ichor that gave him life. I see that ichor as Data and the tools Hephaestus used to create Talos as Technology.
Much like the story, you need all three functions working together to create a working system. So, when looking to hire a leader who decides how one of these functions operates within the body (company), you also need to analyse the other two pillars, as well as the rest of the system, to find the person you need. This concept is one of the core principles on which I founded Talos.
I see Talos leading the charge on a new era of hiring. Better processes, optimised outputs, and a refined experience for people.
